Hi friends! My name is Wen Ke, but my caregivers love to call me Ke Ke. I was born in April 2015 and came to Dew Drops when I was 2.5 years old. I was born with a special birth defect called PKU; meaning that the amino acid, phenylalanine, is built up in my body. I have to eat a strict diet with limited protein because too much phenylalanine is not good for my brain. The majority of my nutrients come from a special (but expensive) PKU formula. Although my diet is different, I am just like a normal kid. I love playing with toys, helping my caregivers take care of my younger “siblings”, and reading books. In March 2018, I was transferred to a long term home.
