Five month old Miao and her parents first contacted us in August 2017. Miao was born with a complicated heart defect. The family needed assistance arranging Miao’s surgery as the local hospital where this family is from was unable to treat Miao’s heart condition as she was too tiny. After Miao was transferred to Beijing, she had her first surgery. We continue to support this family through the provision of supplies and medical consults.
