Little Yu was born in December 2017. She was born with a life threatening birth defect – esophageal atresia. Yu’s parents contacted us in March 2018 to bring their child to our Family Support home in Beijing to seek the best medical care for their daughter. We are privileged to be able to help this family by providing a place for them to stay while they are away from home, as well as meals, transportation to the hospital, and training so that they will be capable of providing the special care their little girl needs. Yu is still very tiny (barely 5 lbs) but we hope she’ll be strong enough to return home with her parents very soon.
